Japan’s Quality Requirements for Imported Textile

Japan Government Certified Textile Lab

Quality has been the driving force behind Japanese culture and business for centuries. The country’s emphasis on quality and attention to detail is so pervasive that it permeates every aspect of Japanese society, including the way they buy textiles. Japanese buyers are extremely particular about quality and have strict quality control requirements for textile production. They demand the same high-grade quality in all products regardless of the price range.

A-grade quality (or better) is required for all products. They will not accept anything less than this standard. The grading system is used to evaluate the quality level of raw materials, intermediates and final products. There are two grading systems: JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) and ISO (International Standardization Organization). The two standards are very similar in their requirements, but there are some differences between them.

According to the grading system, all suppliers need to provide a certain number of samples with their technical specifications or certificates. Buyers need to conduct chemical tests on these samples in order to verify that they meet the required quality levels set by Japanese buyers. In general, there are three stages for testing raw materials: 1) detection of color & odor; 2) measuring physical properties such as melting point, density & viscosity; 3) detecting impurities such as heavy metals & organic matters.

Japan requires that all imported products meet its standards for aromatic amines content by testing the raw material before it is exported. Aromatic amines are chemicals that release carcinogenic and toxic fumes when heated. Because of this, they are banned in certain industries like apparel and electronics. However, aromatic amines are often used as raw materials in other industries like food manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. This can be done with a simple chemistry test known as the Aromatic Amines CD Test (Carcinogen Detection).

Japanese buyers request that all products be 100 percent inspected by a third-party company certified by the Japanese government. This ensures complete confidence in the products and their quality control standards before being released into Japanese domestic marketplaces! Inspections are performed by a third-party company with an expert staff who can evaluate every aspect of the product and offer feedback on any deficiencies or areas for improvement to meet all requirements.

Needle detection is done to check whether there are any broken needles in the accessories or garments during the manufacturing process that can cause injury to consumers, particularly to children. Needle detection is one of the most important inspection procedures and is required for all textile products. It is usually done by the manufacturer but must be checked by an inspector in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standard. In addition to this, needle detection will also be performed twice on each product by either a human or machine inspector.

Packaging and labeling are very important parts of the product as well. The packaging must be attractive and eye-catching. It should be designed to attract the customer's attention so that they come back for more products in the future. It must also protect the product from damaging factors like moisture or sunlight. The packaging should be designed in such a way that it can be easily opened and closed by customers with a minimum number of steps required for opening or closing it.
